The problem of school seats is one of the most important obstacles facing the educational process with the beginning of its recovery in Deir Ezzor. The complex of Al-Bseirah might be one of the most in need of school seats.
That is why the school seat production project (implemented between 26.04.2019 and 26.06.2019) is one of the most important projects that worked to provide the basic needs of schools. The project has provided schools (3748) with school seats, that produced in high quality, moreover, the seats had been made in special workshops in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, because of its proximity to the sources of materials in the market of the city of Raqqa, then the seats had been transported after that to the complex of Al-Bseirah in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
Ali Al-Fandi, head of the school of Darnaj said:
“…. before 2011 schools were almost fully equipped, but after 2011 the educational process interrupted, because schools had been subjected to sabotage and destruction, which led to the loss of all school supplies including seats. It was an issue in many schools. The pupils had to sit on the floor in winter, so many of them had left school. But after starting this project, we obtained high-quality seats in terms of steels and wood and the assembly process. We hope that the education authorities will continue providing schools with furniture and maintenance of the Health facilities. Finally we thank those who contributed to the completion of this project … “.
The number of beneficiaries of the project reached 11244 pupils.
This project encouraged a large number of children to return to school again.
The needs of 44 schools of the Al-Bseirah Complex in the eastern countryside of the Ezzor had been supplied.
